LinC's aim is to meet 'service gaps' in the community rather than duplicate 'existing services'. Whenever there is no appropriate agency help available, LinC volunteers will assist in the following:
Requests for food
Need for clothing
Transport to medical appointments
Visitation and friendship
Family support - at all levels
Shopping assistance
Housework and gardening
Needs are assessed by the LinC Referral Centre. Trained volunteers from local churches are called on to assist where appropriate. Confidentiality is assured.
